The clinic's running well, yeah? [ as well as it can given the lack of resources, etc. ]

Right now. We have more supplies than we usually do. ( that's practically 'good,' isn't it? he sort of half shrugs, and shifts, burrowing his way farther down into the bed and onto his side, facing amy. )

So you're not doing badly, running things. [ doing well, in fact. still following, rory? ]

I can't keep running it. ( he does see where she's going, but cuts her off at the pass. )

Because — ( he looks at her, a little bit perplexed. obviously, he doesn't expect her to say 'no, you'd be awful,' to put him down or not be supportive in general, but… this is obvious, isn't it? ) You know. I'm rubbish at it.

Well, now you are being daft. [ because it's not obvious at all. ] You've not been rubbish at it at all since I got here. [ and she doubts he was, before. ]

That's not the same, ( he protests gently, but he's smiling a little as he does. praise is one thing, after all. )

Yeah, it kind of is.

( he smiles, but his attention turn inwards. it's not like it'd be so difficult — really, everyone cooperates surprisingly well — but what if things go wrong? what if he mucks it up? what if someone tells him he's just a nurse and can't do as good a job as a doctor?

his expression goes a little wry at that one. )

It just feels like there's a lot that could go badly.
